Running an Effective Committee Meeting

Running an Effective Committee Meeting

  1. Maximize start time – allow for round robin on a fun and light topic, open minds and conversations, hear from everyone, keep it equitable, thank for each comment, comment back in a meaningful way, wrap it all up at the end with a summative [positive reflection].
  2. Agenda – be honest – what can and cannot be addressed, limiting factors.
  3. Time keeper, pause for quick effective insights and feedback.
  4. Recognize individual backgrounds, diverse mindset, leave your agenda at the door, choose a role / task, allow for meaningful work.
  5. Take control as needed to get back on track, agenda, time.
  6. WWW – who, what, by when.
  7. Set next date and time.
