Leading our organizations through change is difficult for many reasons. Resistance, cost, the great upstream efforts, and uncertainties.
Leaders must act with confidence and astuteness. But recently, @SamAltman, AI’s #ChatGPT CEO caught my attention with another important and often overlooked quality of change management: social responsibility. Usually, only the leaders in the ivory tower are aware of the true risks of the pending – or dare we say – looming changes.
#CNN wrote that “In interviews this year, Altman has presented himself as someone who is mindful of the risks posed by AI and even “a little bit scared” of the technology. He and his company have pledged to move forward responsibly.” More here.
As leaders of change, are we balancing the proposed changes with a view on the potential social impact on our communities?
