Running an Effective Committee Meeting
- Maximize start time – allow for round robin on a fun and light topic, open minds and conversations, hear from everyone, keep it equitable, thank for each comment, comment back in a meaningful way, wrap it all up at the end with a summative [positive reflection].
- Agenda – be honest – what can and cannot be addressed, limiting factors.
- Time keeper, pause for quick effective insights and feedback.
- Recognize individual backgrounds, diverse mindset, leave your agenda at the door, choose a role / task, allow for meaningful work.
- Take control as needed to get back on track, agenda, time.
- WWW – who, what, by when.
- Set next date and time.
